The lymphatic system is in charge of eliminating toxins from the body (drainage system).  It is made up of veins, ganglions and lymphatic tissue, and performs three basic functions.  These contribute to the formation and activation of the immune system (responsible for the body’s defenses).

The lymphatic system

The lymphatic system is a system of veins parallel to blood circulation.  Another purpose of the lymphatic system is to act as a secondary system for the flow of liquids,
which is reabsorbed and then sent to the circulating blood where it is responsible for conserving basic protein concentrations, among other things.

A lymphatic massage, as one would imagine, focuses of stimulating the body’s lymphatic system so it functions as vigorously as possible and easily eliminates toxins.  It is a relaxing and therapeutic experience that originated by the innate impulse to rub parts of the body to relieve pain.

It is a specialty massage that invigorates this system, with a visible effect on the skin due to the activated circulation and improved micro-circulation.

It is also an effective alternative to treating cellulitis.  This avoids water retention and helps remove fat deposits that accumulate in the body, along with preparing tissues before and after undergoing certain aesthetic surgical interventions.

Benefits of lymphatic massage

  • An effective aesthetic alternative, especially for cellulitis, varicose veins, edema, bruising, and reducing the feeling of “tired legs”.
  • It is an effective alternative in the facial area for problems such as acne, rosacea and facial erythema.
  • Produces a relaxing and sedative effect.
  • Stimulates and strengthens the immune system.

It’s important to note that these effects are not limited to the physical realm.  The mind and emotions also respond to human touch.  During a massage, the mind and emotions relax and calm down, stress drains away and loosens up, while the body’s energy increases.

This massage is recommended to all people of all ages.  It strengthens health and prevents illness.  It is recommended for specific ailments such as muscular pain, headache, poor concentration, hypertension, tension, anxiety, tiredness, depression, obesity, digestive problems, insomnia, toxin elimination, stabilizing hormones and improving blood circulation.  It fights exhaustion, gets rid of dead skin cells, oxygenates the skin, stimulates nutrition to the tissues, and balances energy.
