Dry skin is characterized as being very sensitive, which makes it necessary to frequently apply masks that supply the oil it lacks.  These masks nourish and protect your skin.  These homemade masks for dry skin, due to their high content in plant-based oils, prevent wrinkles from forming, along with premature aging due to dry skin.

1. Avocado mask

If you have problems with dry skin, this could be a good option.  It’s also very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 avocado
  • Olive oil

Instructions:

Place the avocado in a bowl and crush it with a fork.  Then add a bit of olive oil, stir and continue squishing it until creating a cream with the least amount of clumps.

Then spread over your face and massage a bit.  Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and remove with fresh water.

2. Egg yolk mask

Did you know that egg yolks are wonderful homemade moisturizers for dry skin?  It’s true.  Taking advantage of this, and a few more ingredients, you will see what good results you can get by using it daily.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • A few drops of almond oil
  • One Tbsp. honey

Instructions:

Place the egg yolk, with a few drops of almond oil, in a bowl and blend until they are well mixed.  Then add the honey and continue stirring.

Once the mixture is ready, apply it to your face and let set for 20 minutes.  Then remove with fresh water.

They key to this mask is to use it daily so your skin will receive the necessary moisture.

3. Yogurt and peach mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 peach
  • 1 c. yogurt
  • honey (optional)

Instructions:

Place the peeled and pitted peach along with the one cup of plain yogurt, in a blender.  Add a little bit of honey to make it more nourishing.

Apply to your face and then 15 minutes later remove with warm water.  

4. Yogurt and banana mask

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Yogurt

Instructions:

Crush the bananas with a fork, in a bowl, and mix with yogurt.  Apply to your skin and let set for 15 minutes.  Remove with a moist paper towel.  You will notice the change.

5. Milk and honey mask

Milk and honey together make a perfect pair for helping individuals that have dry skin to have better texture.  So this is a simple home mask to fight said problem.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 2 tsp. milk

Instructions:

To make this homemade mask for dry skin, just mix the two teaspoons of honey with the two of milk until the ingredients are perfectly blended.

Then, simply apply the moisturizing mask to the areas most damaged by dryness.  Let act for 15 minutes, then remove with a bit of warm water.

6. Ripe banana, honey and olive oil mask

Bananas can be one of the best ingredients to use when making a mask for dry skin.

Ingredients:

  • One ripe banana
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. olive oil

Instructions

Crush the banana and place it in a bowl.  Add the honey and olive oil and mix until the ingredients are well mixed.

Then simply apply the mask to the areas of dry skin that you want to revitalize.  Let act for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water.  Repeat two or three times a week.

7. Almond mask

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. crushed almonds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. warm water

Instructions

Blend the crushed almonds with the egg yolk and honey.  Once they are well blended, add the hot water and continue stirring until creating a paste.

Then apply to your face in a thick layer, and let set for 30 minutes.  Once this time is up, remove with moist hands, while gently massaging your face.

Now you don’t need to suffer any more from dry skin.  Try whichever mask you prefer and let us know about your experience.
