Skin problems can be treated naturally, simply, and inexpensively with just a pot, water, and herbs. Below we will give you some of the most powerful facials treatments to convert your house into the best spa around. You will be able to pamper, nourish, and cure your skin.
Homemade Facial Treatments with Herbs
Herbal facial treatment for oily skin:
You will need:
- One cucumber
- One towel
- Hot water
Directions:
Cut the cucumber in long, thin slices and cover your entire face with them. Then, moisten a towel with warm water (warmer than cool), and place it over your face. Let the vapor work with the cucumber’s attributes on the skin for 10 minutes, or until the towel cools. Then rinse with rose water and apply aloe cream.
Herbal facial treatment to fight oily skin
You will need:
- 2 Tbsp. lemon rind
- 2 Tbsp. sprouts (alfalfa, soy, etc.)
- 1 Tbsp. ground fennel
- 2 Tbsp. fresh rose petals
- 1 Tbsp. chamomile
- 1 Tbsp. mint

1. In an airtight bowl, mix all ingredients and cover well so that no air can enter.
2. When you’re ready for a facial, add two spoonfuls of these herbs to half a cup of boiling water. Cover and let set for 15 minutes. Reheat the new infusion and the moisten a small towel (the size of your face) with the infusion. Lay back and place the towel over your face until it cools.
Herbal facial treatment to fight dermatitis or acne:

- Two tablespoons of yarrow flower, fresh or dried
- Water
Directions:
1. Pour one glass of boiling water over flower and move in close with your face. Place a towel over your head, covering bother yourself and the pot with vapor so that the steam cannot escape. Stay until the infusion cools.
Mint facial treatment for normal or oily skin
Deeply clean your skin and relax your facial muscles.
You will need:
- One handful of fresh mint
- One deep and wide pot
- One glass of boiling water
- One towel to cover your head
Directions:
1. Place the handful of mint into the deep pot and add boiling water over the herbs.
2. Bring your face in close to the pot and place the towel over your head and the pot. Concentrate the vapor on your face.
3. Stay this way for 10 minutes, or until the steam runs out.
If you do this 3 or 4 times a week, you will see a big difference in your face, especially if you combine this treatment with a diet rich in fresh vegetables.
Facial treatment for dry skin
You will need:
- 2 Tbsp. acacia flower
- 1 Tbsp. chamomile flower
- 1 Tbsp. licorice root, finely ground
- 2 heaping tablespoons of elderflower, ground
- 1 Tbsp. ground fennel
- 1 Tbsp. strawberry leaves
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. When you’re ready for your facial treatment, mix two tablespoons of this floral mixture in one glass of boiling water.
2. Repeat the previous instructions by nearing your face, covering your head with the towel, and locking the herb steam in until it runs out.
Facial treatment for fighting dark skin marks
You will need:
- Two Tbsp. fresh parsley
- Castor oil
- Water and a pot
Directions:
1. Place the parsley in the pot and add one glass of boiling water. Bring your face close, and cover your head with the towel, making sure to trap the steam until it runs out.
2. Rinse your face with the parsley infusion, and gently rub a bit of fresh parsley on your face.
3. Dry your face without rinsing the parsley water off, and then apply castor oil to the marks.
4. You should do this treatment at night and let the oil set until the following morning. Also, supplement your diet with vitamins A and C.
Facial treatment against wrinkles and premature aging
You will need:
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. pure honey
- 1 Tbsp. homemade or plain yogurt
- 1 cup of hot green tea (not too hot)
- 1 towel the size of your face
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients and apply to your face.
2. Then, moisten a towel the size of your face with green tea.
3. Place the towel over your face when you feel it is warm enough.
4. Leave the towel on your face until it cools.
5. Wash your face with mineral water and then apply aloe cream or honey.
