1. Cucumbers

Cucumbers are an excellent astringent and they also have properties for clearing up the skin.  That’s why they’re a good option for getting rid of dark circles.

Place cucumber slices in the fridge for half an hour and then place then on the affected area for 10 minutes.  This will calm and refresh your skin.

Another way to use cucumber is to mix the juice with equal parts lemon juice, and then use a cotton ball to apply it to the affected skin.  Rinse after 15 minutes.  If you do this for a full week, you will reduce the swelling and your dark circles will have vanished.

2. Apples

The tanic acid contained in apples also helps reduce these circles naturally.

Cut an apple into thick slices and place them under your eyes for half an hour.  Or you could also make a cream from boiled green apples, and apply it in the same fashion to your eyes and under your eyes.  Rinse with warm water after half an hour.

6. Almond oil

Almond oil is great for delicate skin.  You can apply a bit of this oil to your circles and massage the area a bit before going to bed.  Do this every night and in the morning, rinse and wash with cold water.  Do this daily until the circles disappear.

If you don’t have almond oil, you could also use vitamin E oil.

6. Cold water

Cold water helps to reduce swelling under eyes and dark circles.  Take a towel moistened in cold water and apply it directly to your eyes for several minutes.  Another option is to wrap a few ice cubes in a napkin, or use a chilled tea bag, or even a cold spoon.  If you do this four times a day for two weeks you will start to see the different.

7. Mint leaves

Mint leaves can provide a cooling and fresh effect for removing dark circles under your eyes naturally.

8. Turmeric

Turmeric has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  It can help eliminate dark circles.  Mix powdered turmeric with pineapple juice to cream a thick paste, and apply to the area under your eyes for 10 minutes.  This mixture not only eliminates dark circles, but it will leave your skin softer as well if done daily.

9. Lemon juice

The vitamin C contained in lemons is a good solution for whitening skin below the eyes.

Apply fresh lemon juice with a cotton ball and allow to set for 10 minutes before rinsing.  Repeat at least three times a week.

Other tips for dark circles under your eyes

Whichever remedy you decide to use, it is important that you drink at least two liters of water a day.  This will accelerate how quickly the color goes away, and it will prevent you from having recurrent problem with dark circles.  It is also important that you sleep enough and don’t stress out, which will give you the best results.

If you follow all of this, I am sure that you will no longer have to worry about dark circles under your eyes.  But it is important that you give each step one to two weeks before expecting results.  If you do not see results, it’s best to see a doctor.  There are other types of dark circles that appear because of problems relating to how a certain organ is functioning, and it’s best to have an expert help fix the problem professionally.
