The constant sneezing and watery eyes, the itching, the red skin, the hives, and extreme sensitivity to things in the environment are all signs of allergies.  Removing allergy symptoms means taking a few things into account first.  First and foremost, comes a healthy diet.  An intoxicated body, saturated in too many fats and waste products, is without a doubt, prone to developing all kinds of allergies.

Reishi mushroomsThere are several ways to treat allergies, and here we will talk about a very peculiar way of doing this.  This method has been used since ancient times, and has provided really good results.  It may just prove to be the solution you’re looking for.

What are Reishi’s?

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a very popular mushroom in traditional Chinese medicine.  It has been used for centuries as a natural alternative for treating several pains, and has been the subject of several scientific studies these past few years.  Japan has been one of the most dedicated countries to investigating the effectiveness of certain mushrooms in helping cure certain illnesses.

Allergies and Reishi

Among the mot common allergies, here we will take into account chronic allergic bronchitis, asthma, contact dermatitis, produced by contact with an allergen (pollen, certain animal hairs, dust, cardboard, humidity, etc.).  This contact causes the body to release histamine.  Stress, pressure, anxiety, and altered and constant nervous states also cause the body’s defenses to weaken, and adds to the activation or aggravation of allergies.

How do Reishi mushrooms work?

Reishi is made of a very interesting series of elements for treating allergies, such as:

  • Ganoderic acid: reduces over-production of histamines, decreasing the tendency towards allergies.
  • Lanostina: used as a tonic for the supra-renal glands, creating a very healthy reaction to allergens.  This decreases symptom duration and intensity.
  • Triterpenoids: act as natural anti-inflammatory, helping reduce inflammation in the respiratory system, while calming and smoothing out respiratory discomforts.
  • Powerful antioxidant: strengthens the immune system, making Reishi a highly effective natural treatment for fighting allergies.  This greatly reduces symptoms such as itching, shortness of breath, sneezing, watery eyes, tiredness, nasal congestion, etc.

Reishi holds numerous benefits, ones that traditional Chinese medicine – centuries ago – has already proven useful for treating allergies.  However, if you plan on using or buy Reishi, we recommend you combine it with other healthy foods, and that you cleanse your body with a detox diet for a few days.  This will undoubtedly strengthen Reishi’s effects. You might even be able to completely eradicate the allergy.
